- another cold day - 31 when we got up, high to be only 32. must've brought the Minnesota cold down with us. Ugh. Suppose to be over 70 by Saturday.
- men's breakfast at nearby Taco Fiesta restaurant - 'bout 30 of us
- finally fixed modem to use router wirelessly - with Dan's help
- don't know what we'll do for the rest of the day when it's so cold - 'bout 32. Ugh
- this afternoon, Jim & Diane went bowling with Dan & Candy while I stay home to pay the propane deliver guy. Good thing it's warm inside.
- it so cold that the freeway is clogging up with accidents caused by ice on the road
- and they closed the Pharr International bridge due to ice
- temp at 5:30 PM is 28 degrees
- here's a quote from their local news, "Ice has formed on overpasses on highway overpasses in both Cameron and Hidalgo Counties. State officials have closed Expressway 83 from Peñitas all the way to Brownsville. Expressway 77 is closed all the way from Sebastian to Brownsville. Authorities also shut down U.S. Highway 281 from FM 2812 to the Pharr interchange"
- this afternoon the propane delivery guy filled the propane tank which was very, very nearly empty. In do so, he turned off the propane to the house. When Jim & Diane got home, all pilots were off including the furnace. It's taken Jim the last 4 hours to get the furnace working... which is sort of important with the cold streak we're having.
- and let the record show that Jim & Diane won't give me their bowling scores to show you (in fact, Jim spent so much time on the furnace that he missed karaoke night at the hall)
- temperature forecast is Friday in the 40s, Saturday in the 60s, Sunday in the 70s. But low tonight forecast to be about 26. Ugh.
- and lastly, our new modem connected to Dan's router, are working just great. We get good Internet connectivity both in the living room and in the Texas room. Thanks for the help, Dan.
