- it was a cold Groundhog's Day in south Texas, but we made the most of it by attending some great indoor events. only 33 when we got up - high was only around 40.
- first we drove up north of the freeway to a Time-Warner store & picked up a broadband modem so that we can connect to the Internet from our place.
then we grabbed quick hot dog at the hall (just before the Wednesday "jam" which we missed because of our next event - see below).
- then we drove to a park up north, Texas Trails, to see a show called Red & Bernie which was just excellent - lots of music and very funny jokes, delivered very well. The show was a benefit for St Baldrick's "Concert for Cancer".
- then we went out for Mexican supper at Rosarita's
- in between outings, we worked on the new modem
- then last night Jim & I went to another show in the hall while Diane & Candy went shopping.
- the show was called Faith Family Freedom and consisted of 3 large families each of which were just excellent. First we heard the Link family, then the Lindsey family, then Lindley Creek Blugrass.
- so all in all, we had just great entertainment on a cold wintery day.
